Save Our Shores

Save Our Shores is the Central Coast leader in caring for the marine environment through ocean awareness, advocacy and citizen action.  Our core initiatives are Plastic Pollution, Ocean Awareness and Clean Boating.  Over the last 30 years SOS has been locally responsible for key accomplishments such as helping to establish the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, preventing offshore oil drilling and cruise ship pollution and bringing together diverse stakeholders to find common solutions to ocean issues. Today we focus on educating youth about our local watersheds, tackling plastic pollution on our beaches and rivers, supporting habitat conservation efforts, implementing our nationally renowned DockWalker program and providing our community with educated and inspired Sanctuary Stewards!  For more information about Save Our Shores visit our interactive website www.saveourshores.org...

The Coastal Watershed Council

The Coastal Watershed Council is a leading organization responsible for preserving and protecting watersheds on California’s Central Coast through watershed monitoring, education and stewardship. CWC invites the community to get involved today in the stewardship of local watersheds by calling (831) 464-9200 or visiting the CWC website at www.coastal-watershed.org.

The San Lorenzo River Alliance (SLRA) was founded by the Coastal Watershed Council (CWC) in December 2013 as a public-private partnership, the goal of which is to bring positive changes to the San Lorenzo River that will result in healthier habitat, increased community access and a renewed sense of pride. Additional information is available about the SLRA at SanLorenzoRiver.org.
